About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekdays and weekends with rotating holiday coverage. Estimated patient ratio 1:4.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Core competencies must include: blood product administration, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, peripheral line management, neuro stepdown skills
• Experience with special procedures including TNK administration, lumbar drains, EEG, and craniotomy patients preferred
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
